On May 8, the next online training on "National Leader of Independent Azerbaijan - Heydar Aliyev" was held at the Heydar Aliyev School of Sumgayit State University.

First, a group of participants laid flowers at the bust of national leader Heydar Aliyev in the lobby of the university and paid tribute to his memory.

Opening the event, the rector of the university, Professor Elkhan Huseynov, said that May 10 is the birthday of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the architect and founder of the modern Azerbaijani state, who rendered great services to the independence and development of our people and state. Great Leader Heydar Aliyev is a genius and a great statesman whom we will always be proud and remembered. He is not only a historical figure distinguished by his unparalleled service to the people and statehood of Azerbaijan, but also a leader who writes history. The rich activity of the Great Leader in the interests of national and statehood has left a deep mark on the history of the Azerbaijani people. We are sure that today the spirit of Heydar Aliyev, who is always proud to be Azerbaijani, is happy. Heydar Aliyev said in his address to the people of Azerbaijan in 2003: “I believe that with your help and support, Ilham Aliyev will be able to complete the fateful issues, plans and works that I have not been able to complete. I trust him as much as I do and I have high hopes for his future. " Indeed, President Ilham Aliyev successfully continues the policy of building a democratic, legal and secular state of the Great Leader of our people Heydar Aliyev. The territorial integrity of independent Azerbaijan, the savior, was restored under the leadership of President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, who continued his ideas and deeds and fulfilled his will, and Karabakh, which had been enslaved by the enemy for 30 years, was liberated forever.

Ramiz Huseynov, Vice-Rector for Humanitarian Affairs of SSU, Member of the Board of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), Chairman of the Sumgayit branch of the YAP, made a report on "National Leader of Independent Azerbaijan - Heydar Aliyev". He noted that the National Leader Heydar Aliyev has always been a leader who cares about the interests of the Azerbaijani people, and his consistent and purposeful policy in this direction has formed the basis of all his activities. Our National Leader Heydar Aliyev, who devoted his entire life to his people and homeland, entered the history of the Azerbaijani people as the architect and founder of our independence. Today, Azerbaijan is a modern, powerful and dynamically developing country. Consistent and systematic reforms are being implemented in all areas. As a result of the policy pursued under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, sustainable development is observed in all areas, including science, education and health. The Vice-Rector also noted that the greatest wish of the Eternal Leader was the liberation of our historical lands from occupation, the restoration of the territorial integrity of our native Azerbaijan, which he served faithfully throughout his life. This dream and will of the genius was fulfilled by the brave Azerbaijani Army, founded by the National Leader under the leadership of his worthy political successor, President of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of our Armed Forces, mighty commander Ilham Aliyev. Gathering strength year by year, Azerbaijan and its valiant Army drove the enemy out of our lands, and our tricolor flag began to wave proudly again in the homeland, in Shusha, the beating heart of Karabakh.

Then Dean of the Faculty of History and Geography, Honored Teacher, Professor Adil Bakhshaliyev delivered speech on "Heydar Aliyev is the leader of world Azerbaijanis", Senior Lecturer of the Department of History of Azerbaijan and Eastern Europe Samin Gojayev on "Succession in the tradition of Azerbaijani statehood - Ilham Aliyev", Associate Professor of the Azerbaijani language and its teaching methods Gunel Pashayeva on "Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijani culture", 2nd year student of the Faculty of Engineering Aysel Humbatova on "The role of Heydar Aliyev in the development of industry in Azerbaijan", 2nd year master of the Faculty of History and Geography Hasan Ahmadov on "Heydar Aliyev"s legacy is a school of patriotic education of Azerbaijani youth." They noted that the National Leader, the founder and architect of our independent state, Heydar Aliyev, whose 98th anniversary we are celebrating, has opened glorious chronicles in the history of the Azerbaijani people. Today, the genius of Heydar Aliyev lives in the heart of every Azerbaijani and is remembered with deep sympathy as the father of the nation, who sees the meaning of life in free service to the people and the state, bravely overcomes the most difficult obstacles and problems for this sacred cause. They stressed that the place and role of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev in the history of Azerbaijan will be discussed for a long time, and his great and rich services to our people will always be the subject of research. The activity of our national leader is an activity calculated for the past, present and future of Azerbaijan, showing us an example of how to build our present and what can be done for our future, referring to the past.
