The XXI Republican Scientific Conference of Masters dedicated to the 98th anniversary of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev was held online at Sumgayit State University on May 17.

The conference was attended by heads of departments and professors of leading universities of the country.

Rector of the conference, Professor Elkhan Huseynov greeted the participants and said that the XXI Republican Scientific Conference of Masters was dedicated to a significant day - the 98th anniversary of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev. He stressed that Heydar Aliyev's great activity, which represents the national interests and is based on determination and perseverance, is a shining example for today's and future generations. The Great Leader has always attached great importance to the comprehensive development of youth. Today, the attention and care shown by President Ilham Aliyev, a worthy successor of the Great Leader, to the development of education once again confirms that this important factor is included in the list of important principles of state policy and covers not only the capital but also the regions. Also, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, its head, First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva have made a significant contribution to the successful implementation of the development strategy of science and education.

Then the rector spoke about the importance of the measures taken at SSU to involve young people in scientific activities. He noted that the Republican Scientific Conference of Masters has been held at Sumgayit State University for 21 years. Emphasizing that scientific research is one of the main activities of higher education institutions, the rector spoke about the importance of active involvement of students and graduate students in scientific research, the importance of participation in scientific conferences, the university's achievements in education and science. He noted that the increase in the number of participants in the conference shows how important the conference is. In 2020, more than 700 masters from 12 scientific and educational institutions participated in the XX Republican Scientific Conference, while this year's conference included about 1,400 report materials from 19 scientific and educational institutions of the republic. After the initial examination of the report materials, 1250 theses were included in the conference agenda and published in the form of a collection of conference materials. This is, first of all, the result of the growing interest of masters in scientific conferences, on the other hand, it is an indicator of the consistent and effective work of the Organizing Committee, which organizes this conference.

The rector thanked the staff and scientific supervisors of the masters for their contribution to the organization of the conference and wished success to the masters and the conference.

The floor was given to masters from different universities to speak at the plenary session.

Master of the Institute of Catalysis and Inorganic Chemistry of ANAS Emin Aliyev "Mathematical modeling and optimization of the reactor junction of the oxidation-dehydrogenation process of isopropanol to acetone", Master of Sumgayit State University Nijat Huseynov “Step engine and its integration into arduino microcontroller”, Master of Baku Slavic University Hurzat Iskanderova “Dictionary structure and vocabulary fund”, Master of Azerbaijan State University of Economics Mrs. Pashayeva “Security methods used in building networks in enterprises” Master of State University of Oil and Industry Mehin Zeynalova made a report on "The impact of thermal power plants on the environment."

At the conference, Professor Etibar Mammadov, Director of the Master's Center of Nakhchivan State University, and Azizaga Gurbanov, Dean of the Master's Department of the Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry, praised the conference traditionally held at SSU. They spoke about Heydar Aliyev's youth policy, the great leader's contribution to the upbringing of a young generation with a fighting spirit for the protection of independence and statehood on the basis of national and moral values of our people. They noted that the level of research work in our country has increased, constant attention is paid to the scientific creativity of young people and thanked the rector of SSU Professor Elkhan Huseynov on behalf of the university administration for the high level of organization of the conference.

The head of the Doctoral and Master's Department of Sumgayit State University, Associate Professor Sabir Khalilov, said that the XXI Republican Scientific Conference of Masters will continue its work in 18 sections. Associate Professor Sabir Khalilov announced the names of the most organized universities participating in the conference: Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry - 324 theses, Sumgayit State University - 292, Baku Slavic University - 230, Azerbaijan State Economic University - 208, Azerbaijan State Agrarian University - 48, Nakhchivan State University - 47, Baku State University - 33 and other scientific and educational institutions and departmental meetings.

It should be noted that the conference will continue for two days in the form of a video conference.
