REPRESENTATIVES OF SSU TOOK PART IN THE FINAL MONITORING MEETING OF THE ERASMUS + EQAC PROJECT
On May 25, a final monitoring meeting was held within the framework of the European Commission-funded ERASMUS + EQAC (Establishment and Development of Quality Assurance Centers in Azerbaijani Universities) project. SSU project staff took part in the meeting - coordinator Vice-rector for Teaching Organization and Training Technologies Assoc. prof. Natig Talibov, manager, head of the department of International cooperation and foreign students, Ph.D. Samira Mammadova, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management Assoc.prof. Aynura Yahyayeva, Head of the Process Automation Department prof. Javanshir Mammadov, Director of the Quality Assurance Center (QAC) Nihad Huseynov, QAC specialist Sadagat Fatullayeva.
The monitoring meeting was chaired by George Dafoulas, Associate Professor at Middlesex University in the UK and Andy Golding, Quality Assurance Expert, Zafar Hasanov, Erasmus + National Office International Project Auditor, and Eshgin Bayramov, BBU Vice-Rector for International Relations.
The monitoring discussed: 3 years of project activity, report, establishment of Quality Assurance Center, impact on university quality, implementation of student satisfaction surveys, cooperation with graduates and employers, adaptation of curricula, syllabi to European standards, EQAC's contribution to SSU, how to handle difficulties. The advantages of the quality assurance system were highlighted.
It should be noted that the ERASMUS + EQAC project was implemented under the coordination of the European Union-funded Baku Business University. Local partners: Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction, Sumgayit State University, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Azerbaijan University of Technology, Azerbaijan University of Tourism and Management, Ganja State University, Mingachevir State University, Nakhchivan University, Odlar Yurdu University, Azerbaijan University . Foreign partners are Lithuanian University of Social Applied Sciences, University of Alicante (Spain), Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden), University of Middlesex (UK).
