THE STUDENT TEAM OF SSU AWARDED A DIPLOMA AT THE INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIAD
Today, Sumgayit State University (SSU) cooperates with the world's leading universities, participates in international educational programs, implements joint projects with various scientific and educational institutions, is represented in international associations, In 2015, a cooperation agreement was signed between SSU and Ufa State Oil Technical University (USOTU). In addition, SSU and USOTU are co-chairs of the Russian-Azerbaijani Association of Higher Education Institutions. University students participated in scientific conferences, Olympiads, festivals, exhibitions, summer schools and achieved success.
On May 24 of the current year, the IV International Student Olympiad on "Chemical Technology Processes and Apparatus" was held in USOTU named after prof. K.F. Bogatykh in mixed (visual and distance) format. In general, 69 students from 20 teams participated in the Olympiad from the Russian Federation (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Irkutsk, Yekaterinburg, Samara, Perm, Yaroslavl, Grozny, Tver, Tomsk, Kazan, Salavat and UFA), Azerbaijan (Sumgayit), Kazakhstan (Atyrau), Uzbekistan (Fergana), Africa and Cuba.
Students of group 311 of the Faculty of Chemistry and Biology of SSU, majoring in Chemical Engineering Goncha Ahmadova, Narmin Khasiyeva, student of group 312 Solmaz Mahammadzadeh participated in the Olympiad.
The team was awarded a diploma of the Olympiad, and the rector of USOTU, docent Oleg Baulin, sent a letter of thanks to the rector of our university, Professor Elkhan Huseynov, for high-level participation.
