THE NEXT ONLINE MEETING OF THE RECTORATE HELD AT SUMGAYIT STATE UNIVERSITY
The next online meeting of the rectorate was held on June 11 at Sumgayit State University. Rector Professor Elkhan Huseynov greeted the participants and informed about 4 main issues on the agenda - the course of the exam session of the spring semester of 2020/2021 academic year, the state of payment of tuition fees for 2020/2021 academic year, the distribution of classes for 2021/2022 academic year, and the state of preparation for the Graduation Day.
Then the issues on the agenda were discussed.
Faig Shirinov, Director of the Teaching Methodological Center, reported on the progress of the exam session for the spring semester of the 2020/2021 academic year at the Bachelor's level, and Sabir Khalilov, Head of the Doctoral and Master's Department, at the Master's level. It was noted that the examination session is organized on the basis of existing normative documents and is carried out in accordance with the approved examination schedules, guided by the order of the Minister of Education No. F-215 dated 08.05.2021 on the organization of the examination session of the spring semester of the 2020/2021 academic year in higher and secondary special education institutions and by the order the R-19 /1 dated 18.05.2021 of the rector of SSU. Despite the difficulties associated with conducting exams online, all students in academic groups are actively participating in the exams, and the exam session continues successfully.
Speaking about the situation with the payment of tuition fees for the 2020/2021 academic year, Vice-Rector for Economic Affairs Naib Hajiyev said that information on the shortages in the payment of tuition fees is in the spotlight and the deans of faculties were instructed to eliminate these shortages as soon as possible.
Giving information about the state of the distribution of lessons for the 2021/2022 academic year, Vice-Rector for Teaching Organization and Training Technologies Natig Talibov noted that the distribution of lessons is being prepared for the 2021/2022 academic year. The distribution of the workload for all courses has begun. As the prediction of admission of the first courses is fully confirmed, their workload is also divided. Then it was noted that the heads of departments and deans of faculties were instructed to ensure the timely distribution of classes.
Speaking about the state of preparation for the graduation day, Vice-Rector for Humanitarian Affairs, Associate Professor Ramiz Huseynov noted that in recent years, graduation days at SSU were held with high organization and active participation of students. In 2020, Graduation Day was celebrated with a demonstration of a highly professional video on the pandemic. He noted that it is expedient to prepare and demonstrate a video on the occasion of Graduation Day in 2021. He noted that preparations are underway in this regard.
Then the rector gave instructions and recommendations to complete the preparations for the Graduation Day by June 29.
