SSU STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN AND WON THE III INTERNATIONAL TRANSLATION OLYMPIAD ON "BLACK GOLD" ORGANIZED BY USOTU
Students of Sumgayit State University - 1st year master student of Chemistry and Biology Faculty Kamal Orujov and 1st year student Emilya Aslanova became the winners of the III International Translation Olympiad "Black Gold" in the online format organized by Ufa State Oil Technical University on March 20.
Aimed at attracting the attention of students and teachers of partner universities to translation, interlingual mediation, as well as expanding inter-university relations across the Russian Federation and other countries, the Olympiad required the translation of about 3,000 words from English to Russian or from German to Russian. Kamal Orujov and Emilya Aslanova coped with this task and succeeded with a perfect translation.
In this regard, on behalf of Ufa State Oil Technical University, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs I.G. Ibrahimov addressed a special letter of thanks to the head of the Department of Foreign Languages, Professor Nigar Isgandarova and teacher of the department Jala Mammadova.
Our employees thanked the rector, Professor Elkhan Huseynov, who created this atmosphere at our university, encouraged teachers and students to participate regularly in international competitions and created conditions. They noted that it is our pride that the students of our university often participate in such competitions and Olympiads and win.
