THE NEXT TRAINING OF ERASMUS + EQAC PROJECT
A three-day training on quality assurance was held from 28 to 30 July within the framework of the European Commission-funded Erasmus + EQAC project “Establishing and Developing Quality Assurance Centers in Azerbaijani Universities”. The moderators of the training were specialists in education quality from the University of Potsdam and the University of San Carlos. It should be noted that the coordinator of the project from SSU is Natig Talibov, Vice-Rector for Teaching Organization and Learning Technologies.
The etymology of the word "quality" was given at the briefing, and its meanings in Latin, Greek and French were discussed. On the first day of the training, the main topics were the evaluation of the QMS (quality management system) model, the internal quality assurance system, improving the quality of curricula, training in accordance with labor market requirements, cooperation with graduates and employers.
The training focused on internal and external quality group assignments. Training participants entered online group rooms and prepared assignments with group leaders. In the presentation on the assignments, the groups presented to the general online audience for feedback from other experts. The group leaders were Frank Niedermier, Irish Tejero Dakay, Eshgin Bayramov and Gulshan Bayramova.
The training was attended by local partners of the ERASMUS + EQAC project (BBU, ASPU, AUAC, AMU, GSU, NU, MU, SSU, OYU, AKU), as well as representatives and specialists of non-partner higher education institutions. From SSU, the head of the Department of International Cooperation and Foreign Students, the manager of the EQAC project by SSU, Ph.D. Samira Mammadova took part in it.
