AN ONLINE EVENT DEDICATED TO "SEPTEMBER 27 - REMEMBRANCE DAY" AT THE FACULTY OF HISTORY AND GEOGRAPHY
An online event dedicated to September 27 - Remembrance Day was held at the Faculty of History and Geography on September 24.
First, the souls of our martyrs who died for the freedom and territorial integrity of our Motherland were commemorated with a minute of silence.
The event was opened by the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Adil Bakhshaliyev, who spoke about the essence of the victory and the Armenian atrocities. He said that under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, our brave Army destroyed the myth of the "invincible Armenian army" for 44 days, forced all forces to reckon with the will of our people, and our territorial integrity was restored.
Chairman of the Student Youth Organization of the Faculty Elmin Novruzlu spoke about the significance of the event.
A student of the Faculty of History and Geography revived the life of Lieutenant-Colonel Igbal Bayromov, a martyr of the Great Patriotic War.
Shahla Bayramova, sister of martyr Igbal Bayramov, attended the event and spoke about her brother's bravery and heroism.
Then Ganira Guliyeva, a student of the Faculty of History and Geography, mother of the martyr Elgun Guliyev, spoke about the path of her son.
Reyhan Shahbazli, a student at the Faculty of History and Geography, said he was proud of his brother Alikram Shahbazli's heroism. He noted that his brother had an exceptional service in the liberation of Hadrut, Talysh village, Sugovushan. Alikram Shahbazli will always be remembered by our people as a hero who honorably waved our flag on the battlefield.
At the end, a video dedicated to the 44-day war was shown.
