On September 24, the Faculty of Chemistry and Biology hosted a meeting with war veterans in an online format dedicated to September 27 – Day of Remembrance, organized by the Student Youth Organization.

The souls of our martyrs who died for the freedom and territorial integrity of our homeland were commemorated with a minute of silence.

Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry and Biology, Associate Professor Mahal Muradov, looking at the history of the victory, said that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict remained unresolved for many years due to the unconstructive position of the occupying Armenia and the talks were fruitless. The Azerbaijani Armed Forces have launched a counter-offensive to prevent Armenian provocations. Inspired by the determination of the victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, and the invincible unity of our people, our soldiers and officers, who showed heroism in the battles for the territorial integrity of our country, delivered crushing blows to the enemy. The dean also noted that the memory of the martyrs of the Great Patriotic War will always live in the hearts of our people and their heroism will not be forgotten. The Azerbaijani state, as always, will continue to pay special attention to solving the problems of the families of martyrs and veterans.

Then the students of the faculty who took part in the Patriotic War: Mahabbat Huseynov and Gazi Vusal Rzayev spoke about their battle path.

At the end, a flash mob prepared by students was presented.
