THE 3RD BOOSTER DOSE VACCINATION OF EMPLOYEES HAS BEEN STARTED AT SSU
Vaccination process continues in our country in accordance with the "Strategy for Vaccination against COVID-19 for 2021-2022". However, the presence of the more contagious Delta strain of the coronavirus on the agenda makes it necessary to fight the virus more seriously. In addition, seasonal weather changes increase the risk of a further epidemic. Therefore, a number of countries, such as Turkey, China, Austria, Belgium, Finland, Hungary, Russia, Spain and Switzerland, have already started the third booster dose. In Azerbaijan, people who have been vaccinated against a new type of coronavirus (COVID-19) infection every 2 doses are recommended to be vaccinated with the 3rd dose (booster dose).
In order to prevent the coronavirus pandemic, at Sumgayit State University, first of all, professors, administrative and technical staff over 65 years of age, and then employees of other age categories gradually participated in the vaccination process. In order to ensure the active participation of students in this process, on October 8 in the main educational building of the university the vaccination process was carried out by the medical team of the Sumgayit city polyclinic No. 3 for the remaining 2 doses of vaccinated and unvaccinated students. On October 25, the 3rd booster dose vaccination of employees was started.
It should be noted that this process was organized in accordance with the decision of the rector, Professor Elkhan Huseynov, to vaccinate directly at the university. This creates a great basis for the continuation of the traditional learning environment. A group of employees who said they felt normal after the vaccination said that there were no changes in their health.
