On November 1, in connection with the Victory Day, a group of teachers and students of the Faculty of Engineering visited the memorial to the martyrs, laid flowers in front of the monument, and observed a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs who died for the freedom and territorial integrity of our country.

Dean of the Faculty, Associate Professor Ulduz Agayev spoke about the importance of achieving a 44-day historic victory. He said that under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijani Army destroyed the myth of the invincibility of the Armenian Army for 44 days, forced all forces to reckon with the will of the Azerbaijani people, and restored Azerbaijan's territorial integrity. The fulfillment of this glorious mission, the historic victory was achieved due to the fact that Azerbaijan is a strong state, has a strong economy, a strong army, and most importantly, the unity of our people around the President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev.

Thus, the strength of national solidarity, professional leadership, effective military strategy, and our Army forced the enemy to sign an act of capitulation. As a result of the Patriotic War, Armenia's policy of aggression was put to an end. The whole world witnessed the glorious victory of Azerbaijan due to the courage and bravery of our heroic servicemen, at the expense of the blood of our martyrs. The state and people of Azerbaijan appreciate the courage of their sons and daughters who fought for the great victory during the 44-day Patriotic War, respect the spirit of all our martyrs, and honor their memory. Today, the Azerbaijani state can be considered an example in the world for the attention paid to the families of martyrs. Also, servicemen of the Armed Forces, who took part in military operations during the liberation of the territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan, demonstrated courage, performed their duties with dignity and honesty, were awarded various orders and medals by the orders of the President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev. Namely, all the work done to address the social issues of the families of martyrs, veterans, servicemen proves that the state is always with its soldiers.
