A COMPETITIVE EXHIBITION OF HANDICRAFTS AND PAINTINGS AT SSU DEDICATED TO THE NOVEMBER 8 VICTORY DAY
A series of events was approved at Sumgayit State University in connection with the Victory Day on November 8. According to the plan, the university holds events: scientific conferences, seminars, lectures, round tables, competitions and exhibitions of handicrafts and paintings, and regularly visits the families of students and graduates who rose to the peak of martyrdom by staff and students.
On November 4, Sumgayit State University hosted a competitive exhibition of handicrafts and paintings by students and staff on the occasion of November 8 Victory Day.
The purpose of the competition is to describe and glorify the charming nature of the liberated territories, cultural heritage, the unparalleled heroism of the victorious Azerbaijani Army in the 44-day war and the memory of our martyred heroes.
The exhibition was viewed. It should be noted that 30 student paintings were demonstrated in the competition. Each of these works attracted attention in terms of its own color, idea and theme. The paintings depict the love of the Motherland and the heroes who fought for the freedom of the people. These works are not only pearls of art that have had the chance to become a part of our history, but also show what our people are capable of and their talent in the example of the students who created it. After all, colors are also a memory, an indelible, indelible, unforgettable memory. These competitions tell us about our memory, who we are, what features and what we have.
At the end, the handicrafts and paintings of students and staff were evaluated by the faculty and students by secret ballot on a 10-point system.
According to the results of the competition, Jeyran Mammadova, a third-year student of the Faculty of Engineering, took the first place with 980 points, and Vusal Mammadov, a fourth-year student of the Faculty of Physics and Electrical Engineering, took the second place with 945 points, Tarana Ahmadova, associate professor of the Department of Business Organization and Management of the Faculty of Economics and Management with 883 points and Malak Bairamova, third-year student of the Faculty of Chemistry and Biology with 882 points were awarded the third place.
The participants welcomed the drawing competition with interest and congratulated the people of Azerbaijan on the liberation of our lands from occupation.
