In connection with the Victory Day on November 8, in accordance with the series of events at Sumgayit State University, on November 5, Samin Gojayev, a teacher at the Department of History of the Peoples of Azerbaijan and Eastern Europe, gave a lecture on "The Road to Victory" at the Faculty of Philology.

Samin Gojayev said that under the wise and far-sighted policy and leadership of President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, our glorious Army won the 44-day war over the hated Armenian armed forces, put an end to nearly 30 years of Armenian aggression and occupation, and ensured our country's territorial integrity and sovereignty. He spoke about the new reality in the region. He said that in response to the next military aggression of Armenia against Azerbaijan, which began on September 27, 2020, the people of Azerbaijan launched a patriotic war to liberate our occupied lands. “In the Second Karabakh War, under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Glorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, our heroic soldiers and officers, civilians working in the rear, and our people as a whole demonstrated determination and will as a fist delivering crushing blows to the enemy. Undoubtedly, the success of the Azerbaijani Army is due to the hard work and constant care of President Ilham Aliyev. The success of the Azerbaijani Army on the battlefield was realized by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief on the table. Aghdam, Kalbajar, and Lachin were liberated from the Armenian Dashnaks without a single shot being fired, and the UN demands that had been on paper for years were met”.
