On November 4, the winners of the poetry contest "1 year of victory" dedicated to November 8 - Victory Day were determined at the Faculty of Chemistry and Biology.

First, the memory of the martyrs of the Great Patriotic War was commemorated with a minute of silence. A video dedicated to the Victory Day on November 8 was shown.

Opening the competition, the dean of the faculty, associate professor Mahal Muradov, said that in the Great Patriotic War, President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev made the greatest dream of our people come true. He noted that it is gratifying that the combat experience and tactics of Azerbaijan, which is waging the war of the XXI century, are being studied and taught in the military schools of the world's leading countries. “The military operations carried out by the selfless Azerbaijani soldier for 44 days will always be remembered in the history of our state, as well as in the memory of every Azerbaijani, as a bright page that will never be forgotten. These days, the people of Azerbaijan are celebrating the first anniversary of the historic victory. Dozens of new infrastructure projects have been implemented in our liberated lands over the past period. The construction and commissioning of Fizuli Airport in a very short time, of course, could not fail to amaze the whole world.”

Shafa Isayeva, Chairwoman of the Student Scientific Society of the Faculty, congratulated the participants on the anniversary of the Victory of Azerbaijan in the 44-day Patriotic War. She noted that in response to another provocation by the Armenian armed forces and a war crime committed against the civilian population a year ago, the Azerbaijani Army launched a counterattack. At the same time, she stressed that our country is implementing UN Security Council resolutions that have not been implemented for many years.”

Then poems were performed by students. The selection round was conducted by the jury. On behalf of the jury, Associate Professor of Azerbaijan and Foreign Countries Dayanat Jumanov spoke, announced the names of students who took part in the competition. According to the results of the competition, Huseyn Abdullayev was awarded the first place, Isa Allahverdiyev and Sevinj Mammadova the second place, Inji Mammadova, Anar Gullerli, Farhad Alakbarli the third place.
