VICTORY DAY IS THE HISTORY OF OUR NATIONAL PRIDE AND HONOR
On November 6, the Faculty of Engineering hosted an event entitled "Victory Day is the history of our national pride and honor" dedicated to November 8 - Victory Day.
First, the memory of the martyrs of the Great Patriotic War was commemorated with a minute of silence.
The event was opened by the dean of the faculty, associate professor Ulduz Agayev, who congratulated the participants on November 8 - Victory Day. He said that a year has passed since the liberation of our lands under enemy occupation, thanks to the leadership of the resolute Supreme Commander-in-Chief, the unity of the patriotic people and the heroism of our mighty army. He noted that during the 44-day war, there was not a day when the Azerbaijani Army withdrew. All these are exciting days and moments that show the patriotism, struggle and heroism of our army. The Azerbaijani Army put an end to the Armenian occupation, which lasted for almost 30 years, in just 44 days and wrote a great chronicle of the heroism of our people. Today, it is safe to say that the independent Azerbaijani state founded by the National Leader under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev will continue to develop and live as an independent state, and the glorious victory we won in the liberation of our lands, Victory Day, will forever remain in our history. Victory Day is our history of national pride and honor, and future generations will never forget this proud history.
Ayan Ahmadova, a third-year student, and Fatima Mirzamammadova, a first-year student, spoke at the event about Victory Day, which has become a symbol of victory. They noted that November 8 was written in golden letters on the glorious page of Azerbaijan's history as Victory Day. On the same day, under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, the great victory of the brave Army of Azerbaijan in the 44-day Patriotic War was ensured. Armenia was forced to admit its defeat in front of the whole world community. As a result of 44 days of military operations, the modern and strong Azerbaijani Army liberated Jabrayil, Fizuli, Zangilan, Gubadli regions, Shusha, the crown of Karabakh, which has a special place in the history, culture and heart of the Azerbaijani people. Also, Aghdam, Kalbajar and Lachin regions were returned to Azerbaijan without military operations and bloodshed.
At the end of the event, patriotic poems were performed by Lala Alasgarli, Maryam Osmanova and Yasemen Aghayeva.
