The next online meeting of the rectorate of Sumgayit State University was held on November 19.

Rector Professor Elkhan Huseynov greeted the participants, informed the participants about the issues on the agenda and spoke about the development of the university in its educational and scientific activities.

Director of the Teaching Methodological Center Faig Shirinov informed about the regulation of the lesson schedule in connection with the completion of the teaching process in the first semester of the 2021/2022 academic year on December 30, 2021. He noted that in connection with the start of the teaching process in the autumn semester of the 2021/2022 academic year from 29.09.2021, the schedule of lessons was adjusted in all faculties and schedules for additional lessons were prepared.

The deans of the faculties informed about the results of the first colloquium held in the autumn semester of the 2021/2022 academic year and the preparations for the second colloquium. They noted that the colloquiums are aimed at helping students prepare for exams. In this regard, questions on colloquiums are given to students in advance and the conduct of colloquiums is strictly controlled.

Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management, Associate Professor Aynura Yahyayeva gave detailed information about the preparations for the international scientific conference to be held jointly by Sumgayit State University and Yildiz Technical University of Turkey in December 2021.

Rector Professor Elkhan Huseynov instructed Vice-Rector for Science and Innovations Professor Ramazan Mammadov, Head of the Scientific Section Associate Professor Samir Orujov and Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management Aynura Yahyayeva to ensure the high level of the international scientific conference to be held jointly by Sumgayit State University and Yildiz Technical University of Turkey. He noted that international, national and university-level scientific and scientific-practical conferences held at the university are organized at a high level, conference materials are usually prepared in an elegant format until the day of the conference.

Narmin Hasanova, Head of the Quality Assurance Department, spoke about the results of the SSU inspection (among students) in connection with vaccination. She noted that in accordance with the "Strategy for Vaccination against COVID-19 for 2021-2022" in our country, the process of vaccination continues. In Azerbaijan, people who have been vaccinated against a new type of coronavirus (COVID-19) infection every two doses are recommended to be vaccinated with the third dose (booster dose). In order to ensure the active participation of students in this process, on October 8 in the main educational building of the university the vaccination process was carried out by the medical team of Sumgayit city polyclinic No. 3 for the remaining students with no 2nd dose vaccination or those who have no vaccination at all. On October 25, the third booster dose vaccination of employees and students was launched. The university conducted a vaccination process with the participation of medical staff, which accelerated the timely vaccination of students.
