OUR EMPLOYEE PARTICIPATED IN AN INTERNATIONAL WEBINAR ON "EXCHANGE OF EXPERIENCE IN QUALITY ASSURANCE"
On November 19, UNEC hosted an international hybrid webinar entitled "Exchange of experience in quality assurance" between Azerbaijani and Turkish universities.
The event was attended by the heads of quality assurance centers of 21 higher education institutions of Azerbaijan, along with Hacettepe, Bogazici, Ankara, Istanbul and Yildiz Technical Universities of Turkey. SSU was represented at this webinar by Narmin Hasanova, Head of the Quality Assurance Department.
UNEC Vice-Rector for Digitalization, Associate Professor Ragif Gasimov spoke at the opening of the webinar. He stressed the importance of establishing internal quality assurance systems and raising the professional level of professors and teachers, bringing curricula in line with international standards, creating a student-friendly learning environment and creating a material and technical base to support them.
Then, Asiman Ilyasov, Head of the Training and Methodology Department of the Agency for Quality Assurance in Education, made a presentation on "ESG in legislation". A.Ilyasov spoke about the new accreditation rules and the obligations he created for higher education institutions.
P articipating in the webinar online, Professor of Hacettepe University Mavish Emel Kulak Kayikci spoke on "Student-centered quality assurance system in higher education" and shared the experience of Hacettepe University in this direction.
Recep Basak, Quality Director of Yildiz Technical University, made an extensive presentation on “The process of preparing an Institutional Internal Assessment Report” on the example of the university he represents within the quality assurance system.
The webinar continued with a presentation by Prof. Dr. Ali Sınak, Academic Assessment, Accreditation and Quality Conditioner of Ankara University, on "The changing structure of higher education in Turkey and the Quality Assurance Model of Ankara University". In his presentation, he explained the creation of a quality assurance model, the problems that arise and ways to overcome them.
In the second part of the webinar, Dr. Gozde Erhan Unal from Bogazici University shared "Quality Assurance in Higher Education and the example of Bogazici University" with the participants.
Then, the organizer of the event, Associate Professor Sevda Sardarova, Head of the Education Quality Control Department of UNEC, reported on the "UNEC Quality Assurance Model". She provided detailed information on UNEC's internal quality assurance, compilation, applicable standards, student-oriented training and sustainable development.
Prof.Dr. from Istanbul University, Turkey, Eray Yurtseven spoke on "Quality Assurance in Higher Education and the Example of Istanbul University" and spoke about the action plan of his university's quality assurance system.
Then there were mutual discussions on the topic and participants' questions were answered.
