A GROUP OF STUDENTS AND TEACHERS OF SIVAS ANATOLIAN VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL OF THE REPUBLIC OF TURKEY AT SUMGAYIT STATE UNIVERSITY
On December 8, a group of students and teachers who received awards from the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Selcuk Bayraktar as the winners of the Technofest competition of the Anatolian Vocational High School in the Republic of Turkey visited our country to participate in the “STEAM Azerbaijan” festival.
The purpose of the festival is to form in students twentieth-century skills such as critical creative thinking, collaboration, learning opportunities through the creative process, the ability to use modern ICT equipment through the application of various programming languages.
During the visit, the delegation visited Sumgayit State University to get acquainted with engineering-oriented higher education institutions.
The meeting was first held at the Heydar Aliyev Center of our university. The guests were greeted by the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Associate Professor Gafar Atayev, who expressed his pleasure to see them at our university.
Afterwards, the delegation visited the faculties of Engineering and Physics and Electroenergetics to get acquainted with the potential and material-technical base of the university. Afterwards, the staff visited the open-air training museum on electric power and high-voltage substation in the yard of the II educational building of the university, laboratories of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Energy, as well as visited the Innovation Center, where startup projects are developed under the leadership of prof. Javanshir Mammadov.
The meeting was attended by Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Associate Professor Ulduz Aghayev, Dean of the Faculty of Physics and Electroenergetics, Associate Professor Tamella Ahmadova and Head of Process Automation, Professor Javanshir Mammadov and Head of International Cooperation and Foreign Students Department Sadagat Fatullayeva.
At the end, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Associate Professor Gafar Atayev presented gifts to the guests on behalf of the university.
