A WEBINAR JOINTLY ORGANIZED BY THE COUNCIL OF YOUNG SCIENTISTS AND THE DEPARTMENT OF SOLID STATE AND SEMICONDUCTOR PHYSICS
On December 20, a webinar was organized by the Council of Young Scientists of SSU and the Department of Solid State and Semiconductor Physics. Opening the webinar, the chairman of the Council of Young Scientists Khayala Mursaliyeva greeted the participants and informed them about the speaker - senior researcher of the Institute of Radiation Problems of ANAS, winner of the "Victory Award in Science-2021", 35-year-old doctor of physical sciences Elchin Huseynov.
At the webinar, Elchin Huseynov made a report entitled "Neutron flux control properties of nanomaterials." In his speech, he said that nanocrystalline 3C-SiC particles can be added to the n-type by neutron transmutation without changing the crystal structure. SAED, EDP and X-ray structural analyzes showed no change in the structure of the 3C-SiC polytype before and after irradiation. The lattice parameters corresponding to the structure of 3C-SiC nanocrystals are defined as a = b = c = 4.377565 and ???? = ???? = ???? = 90 °.
