WEBINAR ON "HISTORY OF STRUGGLE OF THE AZERBAIJANI PEOPLE AND SHUSHA" WAS ORGANIZED BY THE COUNCIL OF YOUNG SCIENTISTS OF SSU
On January 5, a webinar on "History of the struggle of the Azerbaijani people and Shusha" was organized by the Council of Young Scientists of SSU. Opening the webinar, Chairwoman of the Council of Young Scientists Khayala Mursaliyeva greeted the participants, congratulated everyone on the signing of the Order of President Ilham Aliyev on declaring 2022 the "Year of Shusha" in Azerbaijan. He gave information about Saida Guliyeva, co-author of "Victory Epic", Doctor of Philosophy in History, Associate Professor of Homeland History.
In her speech, Associate Professor Saida Guliyeva explained in detail the role of Shusha in the struggle of the Azerbaijani people against the Armenian nationalists, the measures taken by the Azerbaijani state to liberate its territories from the enemy after the First Karabakh War, the Patriotic War and the Shusha operation. He substantiated the fact that Shusha is an important center of the Azerbaijani people in the struggle against ethnic cleansing and genocide committed by Armenian nationalists. In conclusion, the rapporteur noted that during the wars of 1905-1906, 1918-1920, 1988-1992 and 2020, Shusha, the cradle of culture, was the center of the Azerbaijani people"s struggle against separatism, genocide and ethnic cleansing, terrorism. That is why the liberation of Shusha in the morning led to the capitulation of the opposite side and the cessation of military operations.
