THE FIRST PHASE OF THE TRAININGS JOINTLY ORGANIZED BY THE US EMBASSY IN AZERBAIJAN AND SSU ENDED
The first stage of the trainings organized by the US Embassy in Azerbaijan and SSU ended.
As reported, on October 18, with the initiative of SSU's Department of International Cooperation and International Students, the US Embassy in Azerbaijan started an 11-week training “ English for Academic Purposes ”
for being acquainted new teaching methods to the English instructors of the university which applied in an international level with the purpose of developing of their language skills in an academic level.
The instructors of the English for Academic Purposes and Academic Writing in English courses were Michael Moak, an English language teaching methodologist and TESOL specialist provided by the US Embassy in Azerbaijan. At the end of the training, a general online exam was organized. Participants who actively participated in the trainings and achieved high results were awarded certificates from the US Embassy.
It should be noted that the next stage of trainings from February 15 of this year is intended for teaching staff teaching other subjects of SSU.
