“Project Info Day” was held within the framework of the TEMPUS project in SSU.

Project Info Day” was held within the framework of  the TEMPUS project under the name of    “Development and improvement of governance in the field of international relations (UNIVIA)” in SSU. Firstly,  the vice rector for Science and Innovation prof. Ramazan Mammadov greeted the guests on behalf of the rector of our University prof. E.B.Huseynov and said that he was pleased with seeing them in our University. Prof. Ramazan Mammadov gave detailed information about educational reforms implemented in our country, improvement of the material-technical base of our university, quality of education taught, and also about international relations.
Shahin Bayramov, the vice rector for International relations and programs, told about implemented works and achievements during the work of the project TEMPUS UNIVIA in two years. He thanked the Ministry of Education and partner universities that took an active part in this project. 
Sh. Bayramov said that within the framework of TEMPUS UNIVIA project Sumgayit State University collaborates as a partner with the Universities such as Warwick in Britain, Bologna in Italy, Malaga and Santiago de Compostela in  Spain, also with Xudjand State University and Institute of Entrepreneurship and Service in Tajikistan,  Kiev National Economics University and Poltava Economics and Business University, Kyrgyzstan International University, Baku State University, Azerbaijan State Economic University,  Nakhchivan State University and Ganja State University. It should be noted that Azerbaijan Republic Ministry of  Education, Ukraine, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan Ministries of Education are among the partners of the project.
Ilham Humbatov, the International Relations Department official of the Ministry of Education, said that the Ministry supports and appreciates Tempus UNIVIA as the most significant project of Europe and Asia. The project`s coordinator for the university, head of the Foreign Languages Department, prof. Nigar Isgandarova told about her visit to Warwick, one of  the leading  universities of  Britain, and also about the history of this University.
In the meeting was told the impact on the project`s development of the international co-operation in the universities and detailed information was given about the meetings to be implemented in the future.
At last the participants` questions were answered and a wide range of ideas were exchanged.
