An event called "Shusha - the revived value of our history!" dedicated to the "Year of Shusha" organized by the "Victory Ceremony" was held on January 29 at the Baku Youth Center.

First, the National Anthem of Azerbaijan was played at the event, and the memory of our heroic servicemen was commemorated with a minute of silence who gave their lives for our territorial integrity.

Speaking at the event, the head of the media organization "EMEDIA GROUP" Elshan Aliyev said that Shusha is a dear and irreplaceable place for our people, distinguished by its great personalities. He noted that Shusha, which was considered an impregnable fortress of the enemy during the Great Patriotic War, was saved by a legendary military operation, emphasizing that the Azerbaijani Army under the leadership of Supreme Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev showed its strength to the world. Speaking about the construction work carried out in Shusha during the post-war period, E.Aliyev noted that the proclamation of 2022 as the "Year of Shusha" by the relevant order of the President will accelerate the process of restoration of our cultural cradle and contribute to more effective organization of activities to revive Shusha.

Then, the director of the "Victory Ceremony" Vasila Gabilgizi said that the longing for land, which lasted for almost 30 years, ended in the fall of 2020 in 44 days and Shusha was liberated from captivity with the most perfect battle in the military history. She spoke about Shusha which reuniting with its previous cultural life, the projects and events implemented in our ancient land.

Then the presentation ceremony of the "Shusha" national award was held. Veterans, deputies of the Milli Majlis, media representatives, Omar Khalilov, a first-course student of the Faculty of History and Geography of Sumgayit State University and other persons were awarded who distinguished by the activities.
