Sumgait State University took another successful step in order to strengthen the social protection of employees. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has given a lot of orders and decrees to ensure the development of different fields, including in the field of education which is successfully carried out.
According to the President"s resolution on "Applying of new financing mechanism in higher education institutions" on 10 February 2010 and the Decision of the Council of Ministers on 22 October 2012 many organizations are taking advantage of the system to ensure the implementation of the wage differential in the country. Sumgait State University, joined the system of improving the welfare and has done attempts to strengthen further social protection of employees by the decision of the Scientific Council from this year wage of the managerial staff of administrative management, deans, deputy deans, department heads, professors and associate professors, senior lecturers, teaching staff has increased by differential system.
It should be mentioned that in many leading universities of the world an applied wage differential system facilitates to increase the productivity of teaching staff, striving success, remuneration of the staff, strengthening of the competitive atmosphere, increasing the level of satisfaction and aims to improve the quality indicators.
46.5 per cent increase in the salaries of staff of the Sumgayit State University is of great importance to develop young people"s interest in science as well as to ensure a more efficient activity for young scientists.
