On March 1, the Heydar Aliyev School of Sumgayit State University held an online training on "Heydar Aliyev"s state women"s policy."

Opening the event rector professor Elkhan Huseynov greeted the participants, congratulated all women on the upcoming March 8 - International Women"s Day, spoke about the state care for women and their high position in our society. He said that Azerbaijani women have always played exceptional roles in preserving and living our national and moral values with their talent, intelligence and will. Thanks to the attention and care of national leader Heydar Aliyev, convenient conditions have been created for the integration of women into the socio-political life of the country. Azerbaijani women play a great role in the socio-political life of our republic. We see this more clearly in the example of the First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva. Today, First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva proves to the whole world that an Azerbaijani woman can be both a beautiful mother and an active public figure. As the First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, she has unparalleled services in the development of our education, culture and preservation of our national and moral values. The rector also noted that Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva also worked extensively and purposefully to promote Azerbaijan, especially the realities of Karabakh to the world. Rector Professor Elkhan Huseynov said that national leader Heydar Aliyev has always praised Azerbaijani women, that this policy is now successfully pursued by President Ilham Aliyev, their selfless work is highly valued, women working in various fields are awarded honorary titles, individual scholarships, orders and medals. . He noted that consistent measures are being taken in our country to strengthen gender policy and increase the role of women in society. President Ilham Aliyev always pays attention and care to women, and under his leadership, women are always promoted in education, health, government, media and other fields. Today, many women work and study at Sumgayit State University, which has its place in the educational life of our country. In this way, they make a great contribution to our science and education.

The rector also spoke about the heroism of our women throughout history, noting that the role of our women, especially our mothers, in the historic Victory the 44-day Patriotic War is undeniable. Their children, brought up as worthy citizens of the homeland and those people liberated the occupied territories of Azerbaijan from the enemy and gave each of us the joy of victory. The rector congratulated the mothers of martyrs, comrades-in-arms of servicemen who lost their health in the battles for our territorial integrity, and mothers of soldiers, and wished them success. Dean of the Faculty of History and Geography, Professor Adil Bakhshaliyev, in turn, congratulated all the ladies on March 8 - International Women"s Day and made a report on "Heydar Aliyev"s state women"s policy." He spoke in detail about the role of women in society and the bright pages they have written in our history. He noted that, as always, women are closely involved in building a legal state and developing a democratic society in our country.

They performed at the event on "March 8, International Women"s Day in Azerbaijani society ,such as: the dean of the faculty of philology, associate professor Sevinj Hamzayeva “Female image of Azerbaijan in the example of the First Lady of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva”, senior lecturer of the department of philosophy, sociology and political science Gunel Adigozalova “Gender equality in the state women"s policy of Azerbaijan”, senior lecturer of the department of history of Azerbaijan and Eastern Europe Samin Gojayev, Musa Khalilov a second-course student of the faculty of physics and power engineering.They said that the happy future of any society depends on its women. Today, the worthy position of Azerbaijani women in the family, at work and in society is one of the most serious guarantees for a successful, happy future of our state and the well-being of our people. The democratic environment established in our republic creates a favorable basis for the realization of the rich potential of the country"s women. The policy of the Azerbaijani state towards women is aimed at ensuring equal rights and equal opportunities for women, eliminating all forms of discrimination. this policy along with taking permanent and irreversible characters allows women to maintain a dignified position in society at all times.
