The presentation and exhibition of published works submitted to the Scientific Library by the faculty of  philology was held on  April 14.

The exhibition  featured 212 books and magazines of 131 titles published at the 

faculty of Philology in recent years.

The  staff of the professors, lecturers and students , dean"s office of the faculty  attended  in the opening of the exhibition.Among them the textbooks  published in the graceful design  attracted the most  attention. Most of these textbooks were published in 2004-2022.

Opening the exhibition, chairman of the Free Trade Union Committee of the university, associate professor Elmar Khalilov greeted the participants, congratulated the authors and spoke about the importance of the presentation. He said that the book exhibition would be held in other faculties. Elmar Khalilov noted that such graceful  publications were very valuable for readers. He noted that in the context of the development of the global information society, the Scientific library of  Sumgayit State University made  an important contribution to the cultural progress of the country. At present  the activity of the library and information network of the republic is at a new stage of development and plays a special role in the formation of information culture. Increasing interest in reading, expanding library-reader relations, holding book discussions, making reading popular and forming a culture of reading among readers is one of the main tasks facing libraries. Today"s presentation is of great importance in this regard. Because reading is important in the education of all people, including the younger generation. Reading each book develops the reader"s thinking, acquires new knowledge, satisfies his interests and spiritual needs, and helps to form a person as a personality.

Then the dean of the faculty of Philology Sevinj Hamzayeva congratulated the authors and thanked the rector of the university,professor Elkhan Huseynov for the created conditions. She noted that highly qualified personnel play an important role in the development of society. It is no coincidence that the progress of any country is determined by many factors, as well as the level of knowledge of intellectuals and citizens. A strong intellectual environment was created at Sumgayit State University. Each book included in the University"s Scientific Library is the result of the author"s in-depth research and sleepless nights. Therefore, let"s read, discover our world, our history, ourselves.

The authors expressed their deep gratitude to the university administration for organizing the exhibition. They said that each published book, using rich literature and based on international experience, was a valuable resource not only for university students but for all those who dream.

After the speeches, teachers and students got acquainted with the publications and exchanged views with the authors.

It should be noted that the publications are intended for scholars, specialists in philology, university students, as well as a wide range of readers.
