On April 14, a meeting was held between students of the Faculty of Economics and Management of  Sumgayit State University and employees of the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy. The purpose of the meeting was related to the "Summer Internship Program"  which will be organized free of charge for SSU students in the summer of 2022 to support the knowledge, skills and personal development of students.

The event was opened by the dean of the faculty, associate professor Aynura Yahyayeva  who greeted the guests and participants and spoke about the purpose and importance of the meeting. Shee said that the "Summer Internship Program" will help students to apply their theoretical knowledge in practice, increase their knowledge by participating in trainings and seminars, and build a career. As part of the internship program students will get acquainted with the work of state tax authorities, will have the opportunity to increase their knowledge and obtain a certificate by participating in trainings and seminars. The project aims to help students find the right direction  in their careers, increase their theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of taxation, and attract potential young people to work in the State Tax Service in the future.

The dean also noted that the bilateral cooperation between the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Sumgayit State University continues successfully. Students of Sumgayit State University studying economics are also included in the project.

At the event, Jeyhun Mehdiyev, deputy chief of the Human resources department of the State Tax Service, gave detailed information about the advantages of the "Summer Internship Program", the requirements for candidates to participate in the program, the selection stages. Leyla Babayeva, head of the Recruitment department of the main department of Human resources of the State Tax Service, Khumar Ismayilova, chief state inspector of the Recruitment department, Orkhan Valiyev, deputy head of the Recruitment department of the State Tax Service, Shahla Safarova, head of the Work and Development department of the State Tax Service Training Center senior lecturer Tural Abbasov  made presentations on the topic that would cover the "Summer Internship Program". They noted that the "Summer Internship Program" is of special importance in terms of training students in higher education as professionals. The two-part Summer Internship Program will run from July 1, 2022 to September 2, 2022. During the internship program, a summer camp will be organized for students at the Training Center of the State Tax Service in Shamakhi region. During the summer camp, students will have a 6-week internship in the structural units of the State Tax Service in Baku and the regions. At the end, students who successfully complete the program will be awarded a certificate.

Afterwards, a video on the summer internship program was shown at the meeting, and numerous questions from students were answered by employees of the State Tax Service.
