Our students visited the Institute of Microbiology of ANAS
On April 15, the 324th group of students of the faculty of Chemistry and biology of SSU visited the Institute of Microbiology of ANAS under the leadership of Kamala Isayeva, associate professor of the department of Biology and its teaching methods.
Students got acquainted with Water and microbiological biotechnology laboratories and various models of technical equipment installed at the Institute of Microbiology of ANAS. Students were informed about the methods of water examination and the devices used by the head of the department of Water Microbiology of the Institute of Microbiology, doctor of biology in philosophy , associate professor Anar Huseynov.
Then, the head of the laboratory of Microbiological Biotechnology of the Institute of Microbiology, doctor of Biological Sciences, associate professor Konul Bakhshaliyeva informed the students about nutrious media, their preparation and storage, obtaining a pure culture, cultivation of microorganisms, staining methods, as well as demonstrated. The students were also briefed by the researchers themselves on various research activities at the Institute of Microbiology and the processes required for this work. All these aroused great interest among students.
