A seminar on "Detection of low-energy neutrinos and antineutrinos" was organized at SSU
A seminar organized by the faculty of Physics and Power Engineering was held at Sumgayit State University on April 21.
Scientists from a number of republican and foreign universities, including scientists from the Institute of Physics of ANAS, Shamakhi Astrophysics Observatory, National Aviation Academy, Azerbaijan State University of Economics, Kazan State Power Engineering University (Russian Federation), Ufa State Oil Technical University (Russian Federation) took part in the seminar. ), Scientists from Kocaeli University (Turkey), Middle East Technical University (Turkey), Bukhara Medical University (Uzbekistan) participated in an online format.
Opening the seminar, the dean of the faculty of Physics and Power Engineering, associate professor Tamella Ahmadova greeted the participants and spoke about the scientific significance of the seminar.
Corresponding member of ANAS, doctor of physical and mathematical sciences, professor Vali Huseynov's report on "Detection of low-energy neutrinos and antineutrinos" was listened at the seminar. The report was devoted to the solution of an important issue of special importance in modern cosmology, nuclear and elementary particle physics - the detection of low-energy neutrinos and antineutrinos. The author scientifically substantiated the neutrinos and antineutrinos that formed in the first seconds of the universe 13.6 billion years ago and proposed an experimental method for its implementation.
It should be noted that the detection of relic neutrinos and antineutrinos was important in determining the evolution of the universe.
At the end, there was an exchange of views on the topic, and questions from experts of Sumgayit State University, as well as higher education institutions and scientific organizations of our republic and a number of foreign countries were answered.
