On April 27, the awarding ceremony of the winners of the V International Olympiad was  held "Automation of Technical Systems" organized by the Department of Automation, Telecommunications and Metrology of Ufa State Oil Technical University. The event was attended by representatives of universities from different countries.

Opening the event, USOTU rector Oleg Baulin greeted the participants and guests of the Olympiad. He said  that he had just returned from Baku, the rector noted that the next meeting of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Azerbaijan discussed issues related to the 3rd Forum of the Association with the Azerbaijani co-chair of the Russian-Azerbaijani University Association, professor Elkhan Huseynov. Expressing deep gratitude to the rector,  after  Oleg Baulin , SSU vice-rector for International Relations Gafar Atayev made a speech. Speaking at the award ceremony, vice-rector for International Relations Gafar Atayev conveyed the cordial greetings of SSU rector professor Elkhan Huseynov and congratulated the winners, laureates and all participants of the International Olympiad and wished them success in their educational and professional activities. He also thanked the leadership of the Ufa State Oil Technical University, personally Oleg Baulin and the organizers for holding the International Olympiad at a high level.

Then the winners of the Olympics were awarded certificates and prizes. It was stated that the certificates and awards of the SSU team which joined the award ceremony online  would be sent to the university.

 625th group students of Sumgayit State University Engineering Faculty: Gudrat Agazade, Ali Hasanli, Jeyran Mammadova and Parviz Hasanov took part in the online Olympiad held on April 5 under the leadership of Javanshir Mammadov head of Process Automation Department. According to the results, in the first stage, the student of the 625th group of the faculty of Engineering Gudrat Agazadeh was awarded the third place in two sections: the basics of automation of technological processes and metrological support of measurement. In the second stage, the team of SSU won in the nomination "Synthetic presentation procedure of synthesis of logical devices."
