An event on "Socio-psychological factors that develop self-confidence in young people" was organized by the Student Youth Organization of Sumgayit State University on May 13 at the faculty of Economics and management.

 Logman Abdullayev head of the department of Finance and Accounting spoke about the importance of the event, noted  that the purpose of the event is to strengthen the self-confidence of young people, increase their social activity and set goals.

Irada Huseynova, senior lecturer of the department of Pedagogy and psychology of Sumgayit State University and psychologist of the Biological Medicine Clinic, Gulnar Yusifova psychologist of Sumgayit Youth House The formation of self-confidence as a factor of social and professional development, Aynur Shikhaliyeva, psychologist-consultant of Nur kids "training center and Turan clinic What is human self-esteem and what is the role of self-esteem in increasing self-confidence? spoke on the subjects. The speakers shared their psychological views on this issue and had a wide-ranging conversation about the directions, successful and unsuccessful results of the relations among the youth. They noted that a sense of self-confidence is a person"s self-confidence, love, belief that he deserves all the beauties, respect for self, self-satisfaction. Self-confidence is not a process that arises later and this feeling is born and formed together with a person. The environment and society in which people live play an important role in the formation of self-confidence.

Then the dean of the faculty of Economics and management associate professor Aynura Yahyayeva spoke about the importance of the event for students and thanked the speakers. He said that the purpose of the event is to learn ways to form self-confidence in students, to reveal the features of instilling self-confidence.

After the speeches, there was an exchange of views on the topic and different questions from students were answered.

Then a video  related to the topic was shown and a psychological test was conducted among the students.

We should say that the event was held within the support program of "ON1000" Student Youth Organizations . ON1000 is a program to support student youth organizations, supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and organized by the Union of Student Youth Organizations of Azerbaijan (USYOA).
