On May 19, a presentation and exhibition of methodical textbooks  published in recent years was held by the teaching staff of the faculty of Engineering in the Scientific library of Sumgayit State University.

The opening of the exhibition was attended by the dean of the faculty,  the staff of professor-lecturer and  students.

Opening the exhibition, Elmar Khalilov vice-rector for Social Affairs and Public Relations greeted the participants, congratulated the authors and spoke about the importance of the presentation. He noted that information and communication technologies are widely used in Azerbaijan, which is part of our modernizing and developing world  and its opportunities are used in all spheres of life, as well as teaching and education at the university are organized in accordance with modern challenges. The vice-rector added that in order to train talented engineers, cooperation is established between industrial enterprises and universities, students graduate with a degree in both theory and practice. Such publications play an important role in increasing students' theoretical knowledge.

Director of the Scientific library Naila Amrahova spoke about the relevance of textbooks published in engineering.

Then the dean of the faculty of Engineering associate professor Ulduz Agayev congratulated the authors and thanked the rector of the university professor Elkhan Huseynov for the created conditions, spoke about the current state, problems and advantages of teaching engineering in the country. He noted that scientific and technological developments in the modern world, on the one hand, create new educational needs, on the other hand, provide new opportunities for educational applications. First of all  among these opportunities the computer comes first. Recent developments in computer science have transformed it from a technical discipline into the methods and means of processing data using computational techniques into a fundamental science of information and information processes not only in technical systems but also in nature and society.

Speaking about the importance of the published textbooks, the dean noted that these textbooks are designed  for bachelors,undergraduates and doctoral students studying in engineering specialties in accordance with the modern level of engineering, computer science and meet the requirements of the day in this field.

The authors informed about the methodological textbooks they published, noting that the publications are intended for scientists, specialists, university students, as well as a wide range of readers specializing in engineering.

After the speeches, teachers and students got acquainted with the publications, exchanged views with the authors.
