Sumgait State University, met with soldiers on the occasion of Kurban holiday. Every nation is recognised with its national, cultural and religious values. Azerbaijan people in spite of repressions and persecution in former Soviet Union protected the religious beliefs, national and religious holidays and traditions.Since independence, decrees and orders of the national, cultural and religious values changed on the state level by the great leader Heydar Aliyev. At the time of the Soviet Union, sanctuaries, mosques were converted into the culture house, warehouses, further the places have beenrepaired and given to the right of our people. Our religious and national holidays received the official status. This year, as every year, President Ilham Aliyev congratulated Azerbaijani peopleon the occasion of Kurban Holiday.By the decision of the Council of Ministers 2 days , 24-25 of September were declared non working days. On September 24, to the day of Kurban holiday the staff of Sumgait State University visited the military unit in Zeynalabidin district and celebrated the holiday with soldiers. The leadership of the military unit congratulated everyone.He noted that in recent years, it hasbecome a tradition having a meeting of the staff of educational institutions with military units. The lidership expressed his deep gratitude to the rector of SSU Elkhan Huseynov for his support and attention. Speaking with soldiers and officers the Chairman of the Committee of Trade Union of the university, an associate professor Turan Jafarov conveyed congratulations on behalf of the university administration, and wished them success in their difficult and honorable work. Then the former SSU graduate Elshad Aliyev, told that his gained knowledge and education helped him in army. The party continued with a concert organized by SSU Student Youth Club. The the leadership of the military unit awarded Student Youth Club of SSU. And handed them diplomas.
