The business trip of the delegation of SSU to Ufa ended
As previously reported, the delegation of Sumgayit State University (SSU) were on a business trip to Ufa on May 22-29, 2022 as a part of the joint activities of the Russian-Azerbaijani University Association.
The purpose of the visit was to expand cooperation with Ufa State Oil Technical University (UDNTU), discuss the details of the bilateral cooperation agreement proposed by Ufa State Aviation Technical University (UDATU), hold an information session with our Azerbaijani compatriots living in Ufa on the rules of admission to SSU and to participate in the 30th anniversary exhibition-forum "Gas. Oil. Technologies" held on May 24-27,2022 .
The exhibition was attended by representatives of 13 associations and unions from 35 regions of Russia and the Republic of Belarus, 250 companies and 21 scientific institutions. Vice-rector Gafar Atayev made a report in the section "Integrative approaches to the training of higher education professionals-2030: perspectives, plans and solutions" moderated by the rector of UDNTU Oleg Baulin on May 25, 2022 as part of business programs with the participation of science and education centers.
The members of delegation were included:vice-Rector for International relations Gafar Atayev (head of delegation), vice-rector for General affairs Asad Mammadov, dean of the faculty of Chemistry and biology, associate professor Mahal Muradov and head of the department of Petrochemistry and Chemical engineering, professor Akbar Agayev.
On May 26, 2022, our employees visited UDATU. They got acquainted with the teaching opportunities, auditoriums and laboratories of UDATU, which are planned to cooperate with SSU in the field of applied sciences, discussed with the university administration the issues of teacher-student mobility, organization of joint conferences and symposiums, implementation of dual degree programs.
On May 27, 2022, the delegation visited the Salavat Petroleum Technical Institute under the UDNTU.
Then our delegation met with Azerbaijanis living in Ufa, Bashkortostan. Brochures and souvenirs reflecting the rules of admission of foreign citizens to SSU, the material and technical base of the university, rich academic opportunities for quality education were distributed at the event.
On May 28, 2022, the "Days of Azerbaijani Culture" were held in the Central Park named after Aksakov in Ufa, jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture of Bashkortostan, the "House of Friendship" and the Diaspora of Azerbaijanis living in Ufa. The SSU delegation was invited to the event as an honorary guest. Speaking at the meeting, vice-rectors of SSU Gafar Atayev and Asad Mammadov thanked the organizers of the event and congratulated our compatriots on the occasion of May 28 - Independence Day.
The event was attended by the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan A.Ishafikova, first deputy Minister N.M Lapshina, Professor of the Department of Oil.Gas Transportation and Storage of UDNTU R.N. Bakhtiz and representatives of other nations.
We should note that the "Days of Azerbaijani Culture" in Ufa was widely covered by local television channels and the media.
