On the 29th of September in Sumgait State University the members of Information Computing Center of the Ministry of Communication and High Technologies held a meeting with the students.
During the meeting, vice rector for Humanitarian Affairs, associate professor NizamiNamazov noted that nowadays the development of information-communication technologies (ICT) and high technologies is one the important peculiarities of the intellectual and scientific potential of each developed country. The rapid development and application of high technology creates new opportunities for the evolvement of society. “Electronic Government” infrastructure was created in order to form a democratic society and transparent public relations. He also noted that thanks to the President of Azerbaijan Republic IlhamAliyev, nowadays application of e-governing system has become a very significant direction of the state policy.
Ilgar Abdullayev, the director of the State Register Department of Information Computing Center of the Ministry of Communication and High Technologies, talked about the work done in the direction of e-governing and also about future plans. I. Abdullayev stressed that the National Certification Services Center and infrastructure, which provides information exchange between the systems of government have already been established for the use of electronic signatures. “E-government ” portal has developed and put into operation, all state agencies provide citizens with electronic services. The portal is a tool between citizens and state institutions.
Nadir Rasulov, the Chief specialist of the Center speaking about the advantages of “E-government” governmental infrastructure and “Electronic signature ”, said that expansion of the use of modern technologies in state administration, increasing the level of implemented activities, simplifying the process of making use of them, increasing efficiency of the work of state bodies and local self-governing bodies, improving the quality of provided electronic services, may be used throughout the country regardless of the geographical location. In other words, virtual service “E-government” provides the citizens of the country with the new form of service by using the advantages of modern technologies in state agencies.
Free e-signature certificates were given to ten students of SSU, who took part in the event.
