Scientists from foreign universities participated in the defense of dissertations of undergraduate students of SSU
The development of international relations is one of the factors affecting the integration of science into education, the exchange of professors, teachers and students. Sumgayit State University is developing its international relations day by day. These relations are already showing their positive results in the defense of undergraduate students' dissertations.
On June 23, the thesis defense of Sariyya Guliyeva, a master's degree student in electrical engineering, was held on the topic of "Modeling of control systems of wind power plants".
The defense held in a hybrid format was attended by commission members in personal associate professor Sabir Khalilov, head of the doctoral and master's department of the university, as well as employees of the Ufa State Oil Technical University, professor Marat Khakimyenov, head of the department of electrical engineering and electrical equipment, and associate professor of the department of automation, telecommunications and metrology, Oleg Kiryushin, on the Zoom platform.
Before the defense, the head of the department of Electromechanics associate professor Turgay Huseynov greeted his colleagues from Ufa gave a brief information about the master's training at Sumgayit State University. In particular, he emphasized that teaching is conducted in two languages, Azerbaijani and Russian, and noted that the mutual participation of the employees of both universities in the defense of master's theses has already become a tradition, and it will continue in the future.
Master's degree student Sariyya Guliyeva's dissertation fully met the requirements. His presentation and speech were highly appreciated by the commission, and the defense was successfully completed.
Nikola Nikolov, the head of the department of Automation and Management of the Varna Technical University of Bulgaria, the dean and staff of that faculty, Nafisa Yusupova, Rector's advisor of the Ufa State Aviation Technical University, and a group of professors and teachers of the university participated in the next hybrid format dissertation defense held at the Faculty of Engineering.
The defense conducted in English was opened by professor Javanshir Mammadov, the head of the department of Process automation of SSU greeted the participants and members of the commission and informed about the progress of the defense.
Then Tural Hasanli, a master's degree student studying Process Automation Engineering, defended his thesis on "Development of an automatic quality control system in the polymerization process".
After extensive discussions on the topic, a vote was held and the thesis was evaluated according to the relevant criteria, and a decision was made to award Tural Hasanli a master's degree.
