As we have informed, the application for education is specified in sub-clause 3.4 of the “Rules of education of citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan abroad, foreigners and stateless persons in the Republic of Azerbaijan” approved by the Resolution No. 125 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated May 1, 2015. The Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan has taken a number of measures to meet the requirement for foreigners to apply electronically through a single system of admission to higher education institutions in Azerbaijan. A person responsible for the implementation of the “Centralized Information System of Education” has been appointed in higher education institutions, as well as access to relevant administrative structures has been provided for the entry of foreign students and placement of financial modules, and “Study in Azerbaijan” banners have been posted on universities' official websites.

On June 29, the department of international cooperation of the Ministry of Education, organized by the Sector for education abroad and work with foreign students  held another online meeting to include various information on the process of organizing the admission  of foreigners through the services Portal.edu.az and Atis.edu.az. The event  moderated by Akbar Aliyev, a specialist in the field of education and work with foreign students abroad was attended by senior officials of higher education institutions and the admission of foreigners.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the reactions of the educational institution to the application of a foreign citizen in ATIS, the creation of invoices, the order through ATIS after admission, the placement of information about SIACAS on the website of the institution, etc. was to provide instructive information on the issues and answer possible questions.

The event was attended by Sadagat Fatullayeva, head of the international cooperation and foreign students department at Sumgayit State University, Farmayil Ismayilov, director of the Information Technology Center, and Gabil Ahmadov  lead economist of the Accounting department at ATIS.
