On July 28, another meeting was held in the small assembly hall of Sumgayit State University  related to the  establishment  and productive  work  of the Innovation and Creativity Center at the university.

Professor Ramazan Mammadov vice-rector for Science and innovation of SSU  opened the event, greeted the participants and spoke about the mportance of establishing  innovation and creativity centers. He stated that the development of a business-creative environment in Azerbaijani universities was indicated as one of the priority areas  in the "State Program for increasing the international competitiveness of the higher education system in the Republic of Azerbaijan for the years 2019‒2023" approved by the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Based on the relevant provisions of the State Program, the Strategic Development Plan for 2020‒2025, approved by the Scientific Council of SSU  envisages the creation of  "Innovation and Creativity Center" at the university, and the implementation of relevant work has begun. In  order to establish and ensure the productive work of the " Innovation and Creativity  Center", a Working group, a Mentor group and an Expert group were created, and the Action plan of the Working group was approved.

The meetings have been continued  in the framework  of the creation and efficient  work of the " Innovation and Creativity Center" in many institutions. 

The representative of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Turkey, international mentor Hakan Ozkaynak shared his experience in creating and organizing the effective work  of modern innovative technology parks in universities, spoke about the work done in this direction and the challenges ahead,  also made a presentation on working with startups in fraternal Turkey  about the purpose and efficient operation of technology parks.

At the end of the meeting, discussions were held on the future cooperation between the "Innovation and Creativity Center" to be established at SSU and the enterprises, it was decided to hold mutually important events in relevant fields and certain proposals were voiced.
