The professor-lecturer and student staff of Sumgayit State University (SSU) visited several families of martyrs on the eve of the anniversary of the martyrs. It should be noted that under the leadership of SSU rector professor Elkhan Huseynov, the professor-lecturer and student staff of the university regularly visit the families of martyrs and show respect and honor to them.

They visited the families of martyrs; Fuad Ahmadov martyr of the First Karabakh War, a student of the university Rashad Mikayilzadeh who was martyred in the battles in the direction of Shusha during the 44-day Patriotic war, senior lieutenant Teymur Azizov who heroically martyred in the direction of Fuzuli, Mehrab Niftaliyev chief ensign of the Special Forces, scout – fortifier an Telman Abishov a soldier who fought and died in the battles for the freedom of Fuzuli and Shusha. Emphasizing that the dear memory of our martyrs is engraved in the heart of our people forever, the university employees noted that the President of the country, Ilham Aliyev, always highly values ​​the sacrifices of our martyrs and veterans in ensuring our victory. According to them, the fact that the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva with young cadets and soldiers took part in the march organized on the Memorial Day by raising placards with photos of our martyrs.   It showed   that the unity of the people is permanent and unshakable.

During the meeting, the main role of our martyrs in our historical Victory was discussed, it was reported that our martyrs whose names were written in golden letters in the history of the Motherland during the 44-day war are always remembered with respect and honor. Their battle path is a school of patriotism for the present and future generations. It was also emphasized that in these battles the graduate students of Sumgayit State University gained a reputation as heroic sons worthy of the Motherland.

At the meetings, relatives of the martyrs talked about the war paths of the heroic sons, the examples of heroism and bravery they showed. They expressed their deep gratitude to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the First Vice-President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva and the rector of the university professor Elkhan Huseynov for the attention and care.

The dear memory of our heroes who rose to the peak of martyrdom will live forever in the hearts of our people and SSU staff!
