Associate professor Elmar Khalilov vice-rector for Social affairs and public relations of SSU, greeted the representatives of the foundation and spoke in detail about the state's concern for education and the projects implemented in this direction. He stated that the main purpose of the activity of the Education Student Credit Fund established under the Ministry of Science and Education according to the relevant Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev is to ensure the accessibility of education through the education student loan system.

Bahruz Azimov, the deputy chairman of the board of the fund greeted the event participants on behalf of the management of the institution, clarified the issues such as the activity of the fund, the initial conditions and stages of granting loans, the advantages of loan conditions. He stated that the fund was established by the Decree of the President of the country, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, dated June 17, 2021, in order to ensure access to education for people from low-income groups, create equal opportunities for education, and expand the scope of education. He said that the applications of students for the 2021-2022 academic year have been registered, the vice-chairman brought statistical information into consideration and noted that the applications in this direction are continuing. Bahruz Azimov gave detailed information about social and standard forms of education student loans. Based on international experiences the representative of the fund added   that loans are given with the lowest interest rates in Azerbaijan, this opportunity created by the President of the country will increase the motivation of students and affect the quality of education.

Sabir Behbudov, head of the teaching department of the Educational and Methodological Center greeted the guests and spoke about the importance of the Education Student Credit Fund. He said that since the beginning period of the operation of the Education Student Credit Fund at Sumgayit State University, extensive educational measures have been    carried out among students, and the information received by the fund is brought to the attention of students in time.

At the end, discussions were held on the proposals put forward regarding the granting of educational loans. A number of questions of the students were answered by the employees of the fund.
