Our state always makes important decisions in order to ensure the status and social welfare of the persons who died for the freedom, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan, went missing due to military operations and were considered dead in accordance with the legislation, and their families. With the relevant Decrees of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the families of martyrs are constantly surrounded by state care, and their household and social problems are solved. The lecturers and students of Sumgayit State University join this tradition and regularly visit the families of martyrs and provide them with moral  support. As a continuation of this series of visits on October 6, employees of the faculty of Physics and electroenergetics of Sumgayit State University participated in the remembrance occasion of the martyr of the Patriotic War Emil Aliyev.

Emil Aziz oglu Aliyev was martyred on October 6  in the battles for Fuzuli and Jabrayil regions.

On October 9, a group of lecturers and students of the faculty participated in the anniversary of the martyr of the Patriotic war  Seyfeddin Balagayev, who was a student of the faculty in the city of Shabran.

The family members of the martyr shared their memories of Seyfeddin Balagayev and talked about his  war path. They expressed their satisfaction with the decrees and orders signed by President Mr. Ilham Aliyev in order to strengthen the social well-being of citizens to the head of state and First vice-president Mehriban Aliyeva for the attention and care.

The speakers talked about Seyfeddin Balagayev"s short and honorable life, his bravery in the Patriotic war.

Konul Hajiyeva, deputy dean of the faculty of Physics and electroenergetics  stated that Seyfeddin was always a  disciplined and exemplary student during his student years.

We should note that Seyfeddin Balagayev was posthumously awarded the medals "Vətən uğrunda"( "For the Motherland"), “İgidliyə görə” ( "For Bravery") and “Suqovuşanın azad olunmasına görə” ( "For the liberation of Sugovushan").
