Scientific Council started by a majority  of vote On 2nd of  October.
Council Elkhan Huseynov  opened  the meeting,  welcomed the members of the university  and spoke about the work carried out to improve the quality of education.
Vice President for technology and teaching of education, Professor Natiq Talibov  spoke about summer term results of  2014/2015 academic year, Associate Professor Isabala Gurbanov, head of the Department of Studies and Master's degree, associate professor Ramiz Huseynov  also gave a report on the results of scientific research practices.
Vice President for Science and Innovation, the  professor Ramadan Mamedov, gave information  about "Science News" magazine and the efficiency of magazine on the activities of the last five-year. Adviser of the Rector, the senior Ulduz  Agayev  reported  on the results of the TEMPUS project.
Minister of Information Technology and intercessors programming of Sumgait State University assistant professor Shafaet Mammedov  also reported on the use of visual aids and it was decided that the use of visual aids in the learning process, with the aim of raising the level of individual faculties of visual aids for teaching staff, they have pass new courses.
Rector of the University, Professor Elkhan Huseynov, led discusses on the perception of the results of  the 2014/2015 academic year in Sumgait State University for undergraduate and graduate levels.
In the discussion of  stipends, a third year student of the Faculty of Mathematics  Lamiya Mammedova and the student of faculty of Philology Aytan Jafarova were awarded with stipends.
During the discussion, giving the name of Professor to Alasgar Iskenderov was approved unanimously.
