THE NEXT MEETING OF THE RECTORATE WAS HELD AT SSU
On November 14, the next meeting of the rectorate was held at Sumgayit State University.
Rector of SSU professor Elkhan Huseynov opened the meeting , greeted the participants, brought to their attention the issues on the agenda, spoke about the development of the university in terms of educational and scientific activities and preparations for the 60th anniversary of Sumgayit State University.
Faig Shirinov - director of the Teaching Methodological Center spoke about the results of the I colloquium held in the fall semester of the 2022-2023 academic year and preparation for the II colloquium. He said that holding colloquiums aims to help students prepare for exams, and questions on colloquiums are given to students in advance and their conduct is strictly controlled.
Faig Shirinov pointed out that it is entrusted to the heads of departments and subject teachers to deal with the students individually who received a failing mark in the first colloquium and to ensure their strict preparation for the next colloquium, as well as to supervise the organization and conduct of the second colloquium to the deans of the faculty.
Narmin Hasanova head of the quality assurance department informed about the accreditation planned for the 2nd half of the 2022-2023 academic year at Sumgayit State University. She pointed out that "Evaluation criteria for institutional and program accreditation of higher education institution" approved by the decision of the Board of the Ministry of Science and Education No. KQ-05 dated September 30 was focused on by faculty deans, heads of departments and other structure heads, and said that in accordance with the new rules, the Accreditation self-analysis Commission was called the Organization Commission.
Rector professor Elkhan Huseynov stated that in order to get preparation for the accreditation expected in the II semester of the current academic year at SSU, in accordance with the decision of the Board of the Ministry of Science and Education dated September 30, 2022, the evaluation criteria for institutional and program accreditation should be carefully studied by all the heads of structures and start the work related to it .
During the meeting, the vice-rector for Science and innovations professor Ramazan Mammadov was entrusted for supervising the work of the accreditation process to be held at Sumgayit State University.
After the discussions, appropriate decisions were made and the meeting of the rectorate finished its work.
