OUR STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN AN INTELLECTUAL COMPETITION CALLED "WE ARE ONE FAMILY - WE ARE WINNERS" WERE AWARDED THE 2ND PLACE
On October 14, 1992, on the occasion of the end of the Decade of Persons with Disabilities, the UN General Assembly adopted a Declaration on celebrating December 3 as the "International Day of Persons with Disabilities". The purpose of this day is to involve society in solving disability problems, to protect the rights of all people with disabilities. In order to solemnly celebrate this day together with people with disabilities, as well as to further expand the relationship between them and instill the spirit of unity the event "December 3 - dedicated to the International Day of Disabled People - "We are one family - We are winners" was held organized by the "We are a family" support public association for people with disabilities.
At the event, a meeting was held the people with limited health opportunities, and the speakers stated about the state care provided to them. Later, the event continued with the artistic part.
Then the intellectual competition called "We Are One Family - We are winners " was started. The intellectual game was held between students of 6 universities and other organizations - mainly organizations related to the field of disability and at the same time teams of people with disabilities. We should note that the team of Sumgayit State University won the second place in this competition and was awarded with medals and diplomas.
