AN EMPLOYEE OF SSU PARTICIPATED IN THE EVENT OF THE MINISTRY OF SCIENCE AND EDUCATION
On December 13, a traditional meeting of the Ministry of Science and Education was held in a hybrid format with officials of higher education institutions who are responsible for international relations and work with foreign students.
Yagub Piriyev deputy chief of staff of the Ministry of Science and Education, Tural Ahmadov head of the International cooperation department of the Ministry of Science and Education, vice-rectors for international relations in higher education institutions and heads of relevant structures operating in this field took part in the meeting.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the current situation in the process of internationalization of higher education institutions of Azerbaijan , the education of foreigners in our country, management of the process, its promotion, new challenges, and to ensure more effective coordination of the international activities of higher education institutions with the Ministry of Science and Education.
Tural Ahmadov, head of the international cooperation department of the Ministry of Science and Education opened the meeting and greeted the guests and pointed out that the internationalization of higher education institutions is one of the important priorities of the educational strategy of the state.
Later, the head of the department of Azerbaijani language of the Asia faculty of Beijing Foreign Languages University, Ph.D. in philology Agshin Aliyev made a presentation in online format about the results of his research on the satisfaction of foreign students. Speaking about student satisfaction in regional universities, Agshin Aliyev emphasized the advantage of the location of Sumgayit State University close to the capital and noted that the low cost of living here compared to the capital opens wide opportunities for foreign students.
At the end of the meeting, the questions of the participants were answered by the representatives of the Ministry of Science and Education.
Sumgayit State University was represented at the event by Sadagat Fatullayeva- head of the department of International cooperation and foreign students.
