On December 15, the II Republican scientific conference in online format dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Sumgayit State University on "Fundamental problems of mathematics and application of intellectual technologies in education" started its work.

In addition to the professor-teacher staff of SSU, scientists from a number of higher schools and scientific research institutes operating in our republic, as well as scientists from leading universities of Turkey, Russia and other countries took part in the conference.

Vice rector for Science and innovations of SSU professor Ramazan Mammadov opened the conference, conveyed the greetings of rector professor Elkhan Huseynov to the participants and noted that the conference is of great scientific importance. Speaking about the achievements of Sumgayit State University and future tasks, the vice-rector spoke about the contributions of SSU to the development of the scientific and intellectual potential of our country. He stated that the development of education and the improvement of quality indicators are one of the main priorities of the state policy. Recent years are characterized as a period of development in the field of education and further expansion of reforms in all fields of education.

Professor Ramazan Mammadov drew attention to the fact that the rapid development of computer science, the new fields of application of mathematics has improved and stated that mathematics has a special place among the fields of science. At its most fundamental level, mathematics underlies our understanding of the laws that govern the universe. As a factor determining the technological progress in our society, it makes important contributions to the training of scientific and pedagogical personnel.

Noting the importance of regularly organizing such conferences, the vice-rector wished success to the work of the conference.

The following particpants delivered their repots at the conference: corresponding member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, professor of the Institute of Management Systems Kamil Aydazade, "About the solution of classes of inverse problems for linear parabolic and hyperbolic equations", professor of Baku State University Knyaz Mammadov "The issue of optimal selection of non-working wells for repair with parameters in the oil extraction process", professor of the department of Computer sciences of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University Abulfat Palangov "Conceptual foundations and essence of the use of information technologies in the educational process", associate professor of the Institute of Management Systems Ilgar Mammadov "On the integral representation of functions in the dominant mixed derivative anisotropic Sobolev space and its application", the head of the department of Differential equations and optimization of Sumgayit State University professor Fikret Feyziyev "Problems of the synthesis of binary multi-parameter nonlinear modular dynamic systems". They talked about the importance of such conferences in creating the foundations of an important strategy for the future development of Azerbaijan. They noted that Sumgayit State University, which has 60 years of experience will continue to make its contribution to the training of competitive specialists with high professionalism and the formation of a scientific-intellectual environment.

Later, discussions were held on the topics of modern forms of mathematical and applied analysis, differential equations, modeling, optimization and optimal management issues, modeling of intelligent management systems, application of innovative technologies in teaching mathematics and informatics.

Dean of the faculty of Mathematics of SSU associate professor Khalida Hasanova said that the main goal of the conference is to share the scientific achievements and experiences achieved in this field with others, as well as to increase the interest of young people in science. At the two-day conference, common problems will be discussed and suggestions for their solutions will be put forward.  

Responsible secretary Vusala Babajanova informed about the work of the conference. She noted that 95 theses were accepted for the conference and published as a collection of conference materials.

The conference continued its work in sectional sessions.
