On February 28, a panel discussion on the promotion of innovative professions was held in Sumgait State University with the support of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency and the organization of SUP.VC.

Along with the professors and teachers of Sumgait State University, members of the Council of Young Scientists and the Student Scientific Society and the project manager of the Digital Development Agency Gulnar Mirhuseynova, the head of the ASAN Innovative Development Center Hasil Abbasov and the expert Vusal Karimli participated in the event.

It was reported that the first event of presented project during the panel discussion was organized on February 16 at the Sumgayit Youth Center. As a continuation of the project, it was pointed out that the purpose of the event held today is to discover the potential of young people, to value their innovative ideas, to encourage the creation of startups by ensuring the formation of the local community.

Gülnar Mirhuseynova - the project manager of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency addressed the participants of the meeting and spoke about the realities dictated by the facts, the factors determining the participation of the institution she represents in this work, she informed about the technical scholarship programs implemented by the project she leads and talked about the necessary parameters for the nominees of this scholarship program .

The head of Career and employment center associate professor Amirkhan Isayev stated that organizing and holding job fairs for young people every year is not the final stage in the educational process, he spoke about the tasks ahead. He noted that the "Strategic Development Plan" for 2020- 2025, important measures have been done in the direction of the creation of the "Innovation and Creativity Center" under SSU. The work carried out in this field at the university will have a positive effect on the training of highly qualified specialists for various fields in the unity of education, science, industry and business.

Then the executive director of "SUP VC" Rashad Eyvazov greeted the participants and thanked the management of Sumgayit State University for the organization of the meeting and talked about the projects of his company. Rashad Eyvazov noted that with the support of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency, regional start-up centers are being created for the first time in Azerbaijan. The road map of turning innovative ideas into real business for 5 regions will be explained to hundreds of young people and new opportunities will be created for them in the direction of building start-ups. Rashad Eyvazov also emphasized that "within the framework of the project, hundreds of young people will learn how to turn their innovative ideas into business, as well as how to build up a startup." This opportunity is first for the youth of the region and we are glad that we succeeded in establishing regional startup centers. We have set the goal of training professional trainers in these centers. Trainers will mentor new participants and support them to become members of the startup community.
