25 students of Sumgayit State University majoring in "Environmental engineering and Ecology" went on an excursion to "Azerikimya" Production Union. Before the excursion faculty employees R. Ahmadova, N. Ashurova, T. Babayeva and S. Guliyeva were instructed  the rules of safety equipment. Later, they got acquainted with the production process under the leadership of Ilham Maharramov  the senior engineer of the department of  health, labor safety and environmental protection. Teachers and students were given extensive information about the processes going on in individual workshops, including by-products and waste disposal from technological processes.

The next group of ecology students of the faculty of Chemistry and biology accompanied by the employees of the department of Ecology Nargiz Ashurova, Tunzala Babayeva and Sakinakhanim Guliyeva went on an excursion to the Agrarian Services Agency under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The director of the agency Ali Ibrahimov  informed the guests from the university about the organization  and then they were directed to the departments for a tour. The students of the three departments of the agency got acquainted with the work of the "Soil, water, plant, fertilizer analysis" department at the presentation of senior agrochemist Kamala Shamkhalova. The  students observed different types of seed varieties and the process of their proper planting and cultivation in nature, as well as the separate analyzes conducted under the guidance of deputy director of the Agency Afsana Huseynova.

Excursion to three different production facilities of "Clean city" OJSC was also interesting for students. During the excursion to the Baku solid household waste incineration plant, accompanied by the head of the public relations department - press secretary Orkhan Jabbarov, students got acquainted with the working principle of household waste disposal and production  and then went to the Balakhani solid household waste sorting plant. Students periodically observed the process of transporting waste to the plant and sorting  both with monitors and visually. During the acquaintance with the Balakhani industrial park, young ecologists could observe the process of obtaining various types of ready-made products (products, containers, etc.) from waste and clearly see the working principles of "Clean City".
