On April 1, a round table called "In the trace of the Great Leader..." was organized at the Heydar Aliyev Center on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, organized by the Student Youth Organization and the Sumgayit Youth Development and Career Center.

First, the dear memory of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and our heroes who died in the Patriotic war was commemorated with a minute of silence, and then the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played.

The chairman of the Student Youth Organization of Sumgayit State University Elmin Novruzlu opened the round table and greeted the participants. He spoke about the incomporable services of National Leader Heydar Aliyev as the irreplaceable leader of Azerbaijan in the history of our statehood. He emphasized that Azerbaijan is still developing today as a bright result of Heydar Aliyev's wise and visionary policy. He said that the dear memory of the genius will always live in the hearts of the people of Azerbaijan.

Elmin Novruzlu  noted that Great Leader Heydar Aliyev paid special attention to the development of science, education and culture during his entire career. This was not accidental. Because the genius knew well that the only way for the progress of Azerbaijan lies in the people's higher education and enlightenment. That is why, under the leadership of our National Leader, the strengthening of the economic base of our republic was carried out in parallel with the improvement of the daily life of the population and the development of science and education. During the leadership of Heydar Aliyev, the years entered the history of Azerbaijan as a period of progress of science, education and culture. Hundreds of schools, cinema-theaters, clubs, culture houses, libraries, and kindergartens were built not only in our capital, but also in the outskirts of our republic.Thanks to this care, several outstanding composers, artists, poets, writers, and sculptors grew up. It has become a tradition to hold jubilees of giving them honorary titles. Today, we can proudly note that the policy of Heydar Aliyev, the strategy of national statehood is being successfully continued by his worthy successor president Ilham Aliyev.

Later, the chairman of SYO Book Club Amrahova Aysha spoke about how Heydar Aliyev took care of our literature.She spoke about the opening of the tombs of personalities M.P. Vagif, X. Natavan, etc and  the Great Leader's meeting with poets and writers. Then the books of oral folk literature geniuses were discussed.

During the discussion, several issues were touched, such as love, loyalty, household problems of the modern era, attitude to the mental thinking we have had for years, family relations, how young people adapt to the lifestyle of the modern era.
