On April 28, a "Knowledge competition" dedicated to the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was held at the faculty of Economics and management of SSU with the joint organization of the departments of Finance and accounting, as well as Economics.

First, the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played, and the dear memory of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev was commemorated with a minute"s silence.

The event, which was moderated by Lala Valiyeva, associate professor of the department of Economics welcomed associate professor Dilara Amiraslanova - the department of Finance and accounting, the dean of the faculty of Economics and management, associate professor Aynura Yahyayeva, and spoke about the importance of the event. She said that it was no coincidence that the event was held on the eve of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the National Leader. She noted that the students participating in the competition will be able to distinguish themselves with their knowledge and skills and logical thinking. President Ilham Aliyev has successfully continued the youth policy founded by the Great Leader. Associate professor Aynura Yahyayeva noted that every condition is created in the university for students to grow up as excellent specialists. She said that the competition is an opportunity to test their potential individually or collectively, and wished the participants success.

Then the moderator of the event   invited "Pay+i+tax", "Victoria", "Kharibulbul", "Young Economists", "Zirva" teams to the stage. The knowledge competition, which continued in 3 rounds, became more interesting with poems and songs performed by students.

The competition continued with the homework stage. According to its conditions, one student from each team presented slides on the topic "Heydar Aliyev and the economy of Azerbaijan".

The jury is composed of associate professor Aynura Yahyayeva, dean of the faculty of Economics and management, associate professor Logman Abdullayev, head of the department of Finance and accounting, associate professor Malahat Panahaliyeva, head of the World economy and Marketing Department, Professor Shafa Aliyev of the same department, associate professor Galib Huseynov, head of the department of Business Organization and management, head of Quality Assurance Department Narmin Hasanova expressed their opinion on the students" performances.

The event ended with awarding of the winning teams.
